Very. I have shot mine at 300yds on one occasion at Bisley. Competing in the first Long Range Gallery Rifle event, competing rifles mostly had scopes fitted, I came eighth, using the standard open sight. The rear sight on the second generation cadet, BSA model 4b,, is arguably the best open sight ever fitted to a rifle. Using my standard load of 4.5 grn of Unique, the little rifle shot true to the sight markings at 100, 200 and 300 yds

I would recommend a .223, based on: plenty of factory ammunition choice, lots of load data for homeloads and choice of rifles available.

Alpha 1. Same here I have not shot mine for a few years. I'll have to get it back out and make up some ammo for this summer.

I make cases from 32-20 for my 310 cadet. The 310 Cadet case has a thinner rim than the 32-20. All I need to do is trim them to length and then load them.

The breech on my rifle will close on a standard 32-20 Rim so I don't need to thin the rim, but some rifles will need the rim thinned.

Cast Bullet Engineering in OZ are a good resource for 310 cadet. They have some good downloads on reloading 310 cadet.

I use bullets from Andy Allwood.

I get my Cadet cases from Kynoch.

The best bullet yet is a smooth sided tumble lube Xlox coating from this mould I had Accurate make for me: http://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet_det ... 120C-D.png

No sizing, just decap, reprime, add powder and hand seat the bullet. Go shoot!
