Sauer 200/202 bolt dis-assembly

#1 Post by DW58 »

Can somebody help me with the correct dis-assembly procedure for the bolt for a Sauer 200/202. I have used the cock/de-cock tool and seem to remember it involving use of that, but can't get the bolt head to move past the "cocked/de-cocked" positions.

Thanks in advance.

I hope its easier than Steyr/Mannlicher bolts, mine ended up going back to Austria, via 2 different RFDs and cost me £60 for my curiosity

Its in hurdy-gurdy but this might help?

I hope you used the correct universally acceptable disassembly tool?!

I use a short length of suitably sized stainless bar to decock and recock the 202 bolt.

Don't be silly troutslapping

That may be how you dis-assemble your firearms Fedaykin, but I prefer precision tools for my precision firearms.

I'm not sure about the Sauer 202, but the Sauer 200 which I own came with a cock/de-cocking tool which also forms part of the stock/forend removal wrench.

[The cock/de-cock tool is at the long end of the red tool shown]

Do it again and I'll show you how to reset it, really easy using a loop of wire or strong cable fastened to something solid, put the loop on the square bit of the bolt and pull, then you can turn it back to the cocked position :)

It has a hole in the bolt shroud, just stick a bar in, grip the bolt handle and wind the bolt shroud back to decock, repeat to cock. From memory they come with a proper 'tool' when new to do this.
