Anyone own an SVD? Do you carry the SVD to the range with the PSO scope attached or attach it at the range?

I attach mine at the range, as the rifle is too tall for its gun box otherwise.

Why do you ask?

best regards

Fred

I take mine with the scope (original Soviet PSO-1) attached in an original Dragunov dropcase.

Comrade

Still having the same affect as a blonde, leggy 20 yo young lady in a night club, lots of double takes and everyone crowds around :p

I have to limit her days out, otherwise it costs to much in ammo and barrel wear bangbang

Just curious, I suppose it doesn't make any difference.
Attaching and detaching may just add wear to the slide.

My PSO-1 is around 46 years old and the mount hasn't worn out yet and you won't wear out the receiver rail in your lifetime Comrade.

Glad to hear Tovarisch ussrflag, though I don't think our barrels will wear out in our lifetimes :good:

Found this photo of SVDS on the day it met the SVD......getting a bit sentimental for the SVDS now!
