Show us your straight pull

#1 Post by Geek »

Following on from the recent discussions on this matter, I thought I would start what the moderators advised, a thread for straight pull rifles: just show what you have a brief discussion (if you want), no manufacturer website links etc.

Here goes, lets see if we can not get this locked!

I bought my Steyr Aug Z SP because I wanted a straight pull, but the other choices were outside my budget at the time. The rifle is fitted with a trigger tamer (it's still a heavy pull to be honest!), charging handle and military barrel release modification: the scope is a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP with a EBR-1 reticle (MRAD) illuminated.

The top picture shows the charging handle and barrel modification, from what I understand this is a common modification for Aug's

My LMT. This is the .308 - 16" stainless steel barrel. Bradley Arms charging handle modification. Ase Utra suppressor. Phoenix bipod with my own home-made low profile alternative to the regular spigot. Topped off with an IOR Crusader.

Got me a 50.10 at the Imperial McQueen this year - a personal best.

Very heavy and really only suited to prone shooting.

A blast from the past - I swapped 200 bakelite mags for this brand new SVD ( They cost me £1 each ) had a few months fun with it and moved it on.

And finally - last seasons CSR rifle - A Bradley Arms, 12" with Ase Utra CQBS suppressor. Its having a reconfiguration as we speak and will have a new Walther 17" barrel and no suppressor for the upcoming Winter League.

Southern Gun Co. Speedmaster .223 Remington.
Ambidextrous bolts and the T charging handle functions.

I've been very pleased with it.
200 yards Short Siberia - target is a 12" Shoot and C.

Unfortunately I can not afford either of them so I will have to settle for the pictures.

Why we don't have an image resize plugin for direct uploads eludes me. So many broken threads ruined by closed accounts and defunct image services.
