Pic way too big!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

My oldest is a 1952 No4 Mk2.. I'm not even close..

Some beautiful bits of craftmanship and history in this thread though.

Snider Enfield dated 1867
Photos are all on my other laptop.

My oldest file is an Enfield Pattern 1853 dated 1862 but it's not on ticket.

I regularly shoot my pattern 1853 enfield also have a 1809 Baker and a Brunswick rifles both shootable, they are all in storage due to a house move. once the Corvid-19 lockdown allowed me to move i hope to get them to the range.
Not the oldest as a its a replica but i have a Rifle Shoppe kit of a 1770's Ferguson Rifle i hope to build when i move.

We have a Danish Model 1848 dated 1861 Snider (Rimfire) here that I have machined dummy 'Brass' for, now I need to do the same with primers to start testing the rifle with. Again, a suitable range I can lawfully shoot on would help right now. Maybe something to finish over the next few weeks.
