I think the lovely gents at https://www.nwcustomparts.com would be my first place to contact. I believe they do 300 BLK aswell as .223

Stubby side charger can work well for a lefty.

If I was looking for an AR straight pull (I used to own a Steyr AUG, but don't hold that against me!), I would be looking at Lantac (https://www.lannertactical.com/), Valkyrie Rifles (https://www.valkyrierifles.net/) or Bradley Arms (http://www.bradleyarms.co.uk/). Lantac does seem to be a long wait for anything if what you read is correct, therefore, seems to be between Valkyrie Rifles or Bradley Arms. Both appear to have excellent competition results.
