But if he's only making 12 does that really matter?, given the level of interest shown on just this thread I'd say the way to go is a universal frame with interchangeable chambered barrel, bit like my Handi Rifle.

Hmmm, how about a 4 barrel derringer, each barrel a different calibre - .32 , 9mm, .45 ACP and .300 Whisper?

The action design is such that it cannot operate with the projected pressures of a .223 or .300 and the stroke of the bolt would not allow it either. I am working on the revisions now for .32ACP, 380ACP, 45ACP and 9x19mm with the primary chambering being almost certainly the 45ACP. Downside is 32ACP and 380ACP is thin on the ground, I can put my hands on a couple of thousand 32ACP but there is not a lot available in the 380ACP. Plus I want to keep this as a truly suppressed firearm so no point cramming something quick through it.

Something else I will share is it is of a blowback design from an open bolt. Totally S1 legal as there is no provision for a magazine, nor could it be easily modified to accept one. This means drop a round into the well, pull the trigger, bolt moves forward and picks up the round, advances it into the chamber, bang, bolt comes back and ejects the case, bolt is held back by the disconnect, drop the next round in and continue as before.

Hence the cartridge choice.

Estimated rate of fire is a conservative aimed 10 rounds per minute and all from a single shot.
