We have a K312 on the S&L and it is very good albeit quite heavy. The one we have was an ex demo from R Macleod and Son and they always have some bargains in stock. Delivery and service wise they are absolutely superb.

Would my Kahles 6-42x48 be eligible for use in S class or would I have to change it for some thing else.

Alpha1,
In an ideal world, your scope should only go to 12x, but certainly for 2013 using a honour system and keeping your scope at the 12x is fine.

In my case if I have to use my Rossi for any S-Class shoots the scope on that is 4-14x50, so I'd be in the same boat as you - it's no big deal.

Not sure if I mentioned it, Christel is (Drum Roll) shooting S Class with her .308 chambered M65A and a 12x56 fixed magnification S&B so a bit of a retro combination. Assuming of course that the combination comes in under weight, we will know when the 'scope arrives hopefully end of the week.

Ah, so I won't be alone shooting with a fixed 12x scope! clapclap

Yup, I have an angle grinder and I need a short length of a carbon steel barrel for testing. Erm, wait a minute, this is the S&L we are talking about, I will have to resort to some wood butchering...
