Spud, all that stops you is the 6Kg limit plus 12x 'Scope. Keep inside that and you are sorted

It is fine to drop the magnification down to 12X. In a nutshell the rules are:

<6Kg weight
12X scope max
26" max barrel
Magazine fed
Harris or Harris type bipod.
Trigger is free

If you really want to test your shooting skills you could have one competition with no bipod and no rifle rest of any kind.

We shot an interclub comp recently and that was the format. No rest of any kind, no sighters, Plus it was 10 shot in 60 seconds!

Made for a fun day, we lost but I did manage to come 2nd overall.

Not if SteveE is involved, this is exactly his sort of shooting and he can probably hold the V better with a sling than a good many shooters off a bipod

Then shoot the match without slings. Really test the skills

Mike, that type of match is very common over here and like you say makes for a fun day.
