Hi,
Thanks for the add!
I've joined to try and find a little info on the gsgs

Basically wondering how you identify a mk1 and mk2

So any advise is welcome in pros n cons etc of this model

Pull the trigger. If it goes bang 95% of the time its Gen2, if its more like 70% of the time its Gen1 lol

Haha, was hoping for some kind of marking I went and viewed a new one but when asked he rang some one and said it's a mk1.... Ive found another to view and upon chatting he said there are no markings saying it's a mk2

I don't know but if you can find the date the Mk2 started shipping, the manufacture date would give you an answer..

I have just bought one if its new from Edgar brothers then I would assume its a mark 2. Mine works flawlessly up to now. If you are buying new contact Edgar Brothers that's where they come from.

The guy in shop presumably rang Edgar brother while I was in shop and they said it had been in stock for over 2 years and that it was a mk1

I asked the same question as above on ebay and one way of id is that of the bit that holds the rear metal bar on
So a mk2 the metal at the bottom wraps all the way around and the mk1 is more built then looked on google images and quite easy to spot that difference

I had thought about calling Edgar brothers my self but didnt want to waste their time

Try contacting GSG direct, I've done it in the past and while it took them a few days to get back to me, they did actually reply.
