New Walther lbp?

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

Back to the walther ; a few things that the .22lr PPQ that concern me :-

The barrel; two peice affair
Not striker fired, why ?? It’s an internal hammer ( then again the walther creed 9mm pistol also has an internal hammer )
Rear sight is held by a grub screw

Also read online that it’s the umerax side of the company that makes these and uses the same internals as all other .22 pistol clones that they make ???

I am sure that those who are interested in the Walther have no objections to slight diversions towards the "Glock that never was" . (Apologies to Ewen Montagu )

As for pictures that contain other items being worked on , I am certain that we are all adult enough not to be offended by people working on real proper guns , even if the workers are nekkid and femail clapclap

Well got mine today and so far so good. Nick at Oceania is great to deal with and kept me up to date with order progression and shipment.

The pistol itself is light, I mean I was surprised being a browning hi-po guy, then sig, it fits my hand really well and feels really well balanced.

The barrel does have a sleeve but this isn’t a problem for me.

The rear sight is held in place by an Allen screw, this is to allow movement for windage adjustments, it is also adjustable for elevation.

The coat hanger is hardly noticeable when holding the pistol and seemed to follow the line of my arm.

I’ll hopefully get to the range this week so I’ll update after.

Says more about you than anything else you’ve posted about this alleged LBP. What a disappointment... :bad:
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

One guy on youtube said that the shroud was too wide and in his opinion interfered with the sight picture, any truth to that?

Very nice btw, I'm pretty sure I want one.

I don’t think so, it certainly doesn’t obstruct what I’m aiming at.

Meant to say about the mags, sturdy with a spring depressor for easier loading.

Not a very good pic but think you can see the fake can doesn’t get in the way.
