Alfa-proj 357 LBR

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

Alfa-proj 357 LBR

Anyone else own one of these revolvers?

Although I enjoy shooting with it I was wondering if there was a trigger job that can make it a bit smoother.

This is Alan Westlake territory - What he doesn't know about revolver actions and triggers isn't worth knowing. His roller bearing modifications to S&W and Colt revolvers is legendary.

I was more after info regarding tips/tricks I could do myself, ie not involving a gunsmith.

Where is he based?

Have any members had trigger work done on an alfa LBR by him?

He's at Druids lodge, a few miles from Stonehenge. He looked at the trigger on my Alfa MLR. I don't have a pull gauge so I cant give you any figures, but both single and double action is a lot smoother and lighter.

That's what I was looking for. A positive recommendation. Will get on to westlake and see how busy he is.

I did read re a spring kit which together with some polishing improved the trigger too.
