Rules - Update

#1 Post by Christel »

Because this Forum runs in real-time the messages posted express the views of the author of the message, not this Forum, or any entity associated
with this Forum. We are all for constructive criticism in regards to all subjects and in all sections of the forum. What we will not accept are personal
attacks and/or vendettas. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact Christel and/or the appointed Moderators immediately by PM, for a prompt response check who is on-line first.

These two specific rule sets are the really important ones.

1. Expressions of bigotry, racism, discrimination or hate are not allowed. This includes, abusive, profane or hateful language; epithets
or slurs; suggestions of physical damages; insults; text or illustrations; and inflammatory attacks of a personal, racial or religious nature towards individuals or a group.

2. Content that is defamatory, threatening, or violating of the privacy rights of any third party or person is not allowed.

These rules apply to the entire forum.

What we have to remember is that everybody can gain access to all sections one way or the other. It is not hard and again it is important that this site is not subjected to undue criticism. So to sum it up, you can write whatever you want as long as you adhere to the two rules above.

The swear filter has been updated, if you spot a word used that has not been included tell the Mods or Administrator (What an opportunity!)

If a post does have to be moderated the defamatory/abusive content will be removed but the remaining parts of the post left in place. We will do our utmost to keep moderation to a minimum. If you feel you have been unfairly moderated please raise the issue by PM to Christel and/or the Moderator concerned.

Spammers. We have already had a couple of Spammers try to sign up, if you spot what would appear to be blatant first post Spamming please contact a Moderator and/or Christel.

If your post is vaguely 'Not Work Safe' please include NWS in the Subject Field.

The following quote is from the Gunshop section. It does apply to the entire forum.
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!
