I always found the sterling hard to shoot accurately with the moment of the open bolt before the round fired, then again great accuracy was not a big design requirement.

I always found it was the recoil after the first shots that threw me, as a result I used a groin hold, so that there was an even chance of the 4th and 5th rounds of the burst hitting on the body bangbang
