NRA MoD range access update.
See below message from Nic Couldrey, NRA Regional Ranges Manager:
"Discussions with the MoD about the resumption of Club bookings on outdoor ranges are ongoing and positive.
We hope to be in a position to publish a further update to members and affiliated Clubs at the end of October.
In the interim, we thank members and affiliated Clubs for their patience and understanding.
Kind regards
Nic Couldrey

End of October?????

Re: NRA MoD range access update.
They seem to have no consistent approach - no civilians allowed on rifle ranges, as MoD are sticking to the rule of 6 - and yet the Marne clay shooting club within Marne barracks at Catterick is allowed to continue, with a lot more than 6 people shooting!!
Remember, we're all here because we're not all there!

Civilians booking MOD ranges are done through Landmarc,s booking system.Lever357 wrote:They seem to have no consistent approach - no civilians allowed on rifle ranges, as MoD are sticking to the rule of 6 - and yet the Marne clay shooting club within Marne barracks at Catterick is allowed to continue, with a lot more than 6 people shooting!!
Barrack ranges are not booked with Landmarc. It is up to the Barrack Senior officer whether or not he allows Civilians to use the facilities.
The barrack ranges I use at Catterick have informed me that they will not allow any none essential personnel on-site. Marne barracks is ten minutes away from the ranges I book. I could probably book it if I thought it was worthwhile.
But I don't think it's worthwhile so I won't.
The October thing is a joke.
I won't be booking any outdoor ranges until the middle of next year it's not worth the hassle.

Out of curiosity is F Range at Sennybridge bookable for clubs or is it still off-limits?

Re: MOD Range bookings
Previously confirmed Bids for MOD ranges in November for Civilian Clubs were rejected by Landmarc / MOD several weeks ago. "government covid" restrictions given as the reason.
Have they now changed their minds ??. As per usual 6 months in advance bids can be made for early 2021.
