Prone discipline shooting problems

So I'm having problems with shooting prone, and I've had them for a while. It doesn't seem anyone else suffers from this. I'm not really sure what to do. Perhaps someone here will??
Basically, I shoot jacket and sling, and I find invariably that the strap cuts off my arm's blood supply at my wrist and bicep. By the time I'm halfway through my shoot, I can't feel my arm and/or I get a strange feeling and I begin to lose control of the gun. My score then begins to plummet.
Does anyone have any suggestions/thoughts?
Thanks.

Adjust your sling so it pulls from the back of the arm. I.e when your not laying down the sling should stick out to the side of you then when you're prone and hooked up it isn't squeezing the brachial artery in the arm.

What 20series said, and don't have it cinched too tight around the arm, or so short overall that you can't relax when in the prone position with the rifle supported on aim by the sling and butt in the shoulder......no hand on the grip
You may have to adjust the pull to achieve this. The starting point is the butt in the crook of the elbow when the hand is on the grip and the finger is on the trigger.
I had to lengthen mine by 30mm more than this to get comfortable.

I often shoot standing up, so much nicer and less perceived recoil.
