6.5cm ban?

NRA is aware of this. it originates from safety staff at Salisbury Plain Training Area. We anticipate it may spread across MoD. We are urgently seeking more information. My analysis was that the statement that 6.5 Creedmoore (sic) is unsafe is poor reporting; MoD have, in the last few seconds, confirmed it is a danger area / template issue. NRA Bisley is not an MoD range.

NRA will be publishing a holding statement imminently; that will be updated as we get more information. Please don't call us about it - we are hard on the case.

DIO Eastern have now implemented the 6.5 Creedmoor ban on the ranges here. Just had the email from Landmarc.

This issue is on the agenda for next week’s Defence Range Safety Committee meeting. Be interesting to hear what the outcome of that is.

I shoot a 6.5-08, so my head is well below the parapet.

I used to shoot 155 grain SMK's (2156) at 3000 fps from my 308, using RS 52 powder and Lapua Palma cases..

Funnily enough Pete, I chrono'd your old Savage last weekend with 147gr GGG factory ammo and it was hitting 2950fps. I was surprised it was that quick on factory ammo.

Pippin, the Savage was my partners', I used it a few times, but I never liked the trigger.
She had consistently good results with it in 308, and 6BR......
I had a Swing mk4, and your MV for the GGG is about the same as I got with with some MEN milsurp I tried, back in the day.
