I did similar but used a straight trigger and a bushing. It makes the world of difference.

Would people say its a waste of time putting a fancy trigger in the donor 10/22? i.e. does the linkage, even modded negate any effect?

EDIT: This was the response I got from HTA;

Hey Mark,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write us! We really appreciate it!

Unfortunately at this time we cannot ship internationally due to domestic law. Sorry for any inconvenience. We are trying to work through the red tape now but it may be a few months. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do in the future and thank you again!

Depends, mine had a power custom kit in it I think, was quite light. I wonder if ovenpaa has the specs on travel and weight for mine.

No, I did not record anything as the trigger was as supplied. All I did was add the block and make sure the operation was safe and functional.

The HTA is a Bullpup and has a remote linkage so things are always going to flop around. Having said that it would be interesting to see just how crisp you get the trigger with some care and attention to the linkage. Additional guides, shims, bushings and an adjustable cam on an after market trigger might be the way to go.

In my experience it's not a waste of time at all, I spent a bit of time on mine and fitted the full volquartsen kit and it's made a massive difference.
Just make. Sure you get the case deflector so you can shoot it left handed.

I have no idea what trigger is in my 10/22 (bought 2nd hand) but I spent a fair while shaping my bushing to the trigger profile so that there was zero gap but still a solid reset.
I also fettled the transfer linkage with some packing blocks & lubricating sponges, it's been fine in the 3 years i've had it & only cleaned once a year :oops:
