Good news Saddler, I'm down with Alternative lifestyles and the day you get your man, we'll organize a wedding. I'll even get the local pride parade on board lol lol lol

It will be a joyous occasion, the first fullbore wedding (could be the second assuming I live long enough). It will be a full decked out fullbore theme with Christel as the maid of honour, Chuck as the best man and the rest of us as guests or ushers. Then we'll have a slap up at the local greasey spoon for a slap up reception followed by seeing you two off to a honeymoon at the knobcreek range.

It will be magical.

I also can't believe I wrote that stuff kukkuk

Christel as the maid of honour. Heh! I would pay money to see her have to socialise and be nice for a day. :)

Just finished a recent build....

We originally acquired the below from saddler. Remington 870 Express. As much as it pains me to say it, he did a good job Duracoating the receiver, not so clever, put passable on the barrel and "old school" Choate mag tube. But, the barrel was 28" long and the mag tube, beyond that! There was also a Blackhawk pistol grip stock and forend, which although providing a recoil absorbing system, not one that appealed.

So on to the Retro Build..... sort of....

Replaced the barrel with a 24" Carlsons. Added a Nordic Components +5 mag tube, spring and follower. Then managed to locate an old Remington Police stock and fore end. Took the Knacker Lacquer off it as it was chipped marked, dented and what have you and there was a split in the stock. Repaired that, but left the blemishes and stains left and instead of sanding them down, just oiled them to give a wee bit of character. Looks better in real life!

Aye....he gets the spanner jobs & I do the real work....
It'll be updated again soon when the Hogue rubber set arrives!
Still think an 870 looks best with the Pachmayr grip & 14" tube ;)
