I am normally opposed to posts claiming one party are better than others, or one party would do this better etc.... Frankly under 99% of circumstances I think they are all as bad as each other! But in this particular moment I have to say that I honestly don't think that Corbyn would be coping with this situation as well as Boris is. He is too much about "giving the people freedom" to make the difficult decisions. Of course this is just conjecture, but I could imagine Corbyn taking the tact of "please stay at home, it will really help us out" without enforcing it as Boris and other countries leaders have.

I am reminded of a post on facebook many years ago when we made an attack on Isis and Corbyn said he wouldn't have done it, he would have tried to resolve the problem politcally. The image was of 2 jet fighters making a U turn with the caption "abort the mission lads, Corbyn is going to send them a letter"...

Of course, if we went back to ye olde ways, you could elect us Tyrant for the duration of what would be The Rebalancing.

The Rebalancing:

* The time when those earning £10 an hour are seen as being as vital as those paid £100 an hour
* The time when a CEO cannot earn more than 20 times the lowest paid member of staff
* The time when we begin making things here in the UK again
* The time when zero hours contracts are an exceptional case rather than the norm for many jobs.
* The time when all companies are required to have a reserve to see them through hard times
* The time when all companies trading in the UK pay tax in the UK
* The time when... well, we thinks you gets the picture.

< Starts printing "Badger for Tyrant" posters >

note: The original tyrants were elected / appointed democratically in times of great duress and given the right of absolute power - for a stipulated time - in order to lead the state through difficult times. They ruled by decree for the benefit of the state as a whole as they had no need to pander to / appease various factions in order to maintain their power base.
