...and here it is. The Marlin 7000 Target. This one came with 6 magazines and a very usable 6-18x50 front focus Bushnell and all for less than the price of an after market trigger for a 10/22, which reminds me, the trigger on this breaks at just under 3lbs/1280 grams so not quite what I am used to , but then again it is not going to be my rifle.

Just stripped it and gave it a good clean and the bloody recoil buffer looks to be the one fitted back in the last millennium, it just fell apart in my hands. So.... super glue and a wrap of duct tape is now holding it together and should get Christel through zeroing and a bit of a play and a new one will be despatched by Jim tomorrow.

I have a feeling it is going to be a bit of a formality as she just picked it up, announced she could shoot it and wandered off again. I have a BSA Model 12 I have just put back together to test and zero at 100 yards, so I will be happy regardless.

I had a marlin 7000.

I don't think I have any pictures, but the standard synthetic stock version was clearly built for an american child and ruined it for me.
