In preparation for the real thing

If we entered a time of Civil Unrest/Armageddon/Zombie Attacking, what would we do?

I have to tell you guys that there is a swimming pool complex built in Ulverston, yet after being opened at a cost of 3 million it had to close due to financial and building issues... in the 3-4 years it was closed it went from a neat trimmed building to a post apocalypse nightmare... I will take some photos of it this week (in black and white of course) before they knock it down for a new health centre... it was eerie as Hell after only a few years...

Water ingress, scrub growing all around, the desk abandoned on the last day with everything left where it was, empty pool and cafe... Gym empty... spooky...

That reminds me, there is a site and I have completely forgot what it is called, Ovenpaa has shown it to me a couple of times, all to do with people going to derelict places and taking photographs. Absolutely mind blowing how fast nature takes over.

Yeah, I think that might be the site. It is fair to say I only saw the photos Ovenpaa showed me and didn't take the site in.

He has gone to buy bread at Sainsburys and I'll get him to confirm when he gets back.

Is it the site that had the strange Japanese pod buildings and abandoned hotels?
One I like is Illicit Ohio. Shows disused theme parks in the US. I went to a place called Splendid China in Florida about 15 years ago. It was all the great sites from China on a small scale. I looked it up a couple of years back and found it had folded. Something to do with Chinese money and dodgy dealing.

Yes that is the place, I must admit to being a bit of an armchair urban explorer so I often pop over to look at the latest reports and images. It was fascinating to see a brief report of the brickyards I worked at 35+ years ago
