Mmmmm, looks like I'm looking for a Sporting rifle now then......

5 kgs/11lbs all up.........
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

$350 retail wil make it £980 once Edgar Brothers bring it to a gun shop shelf.....

Got to admit though, I'm looking at S/H sporting rifles! I started up at the top end, thinking about another Steyr Scout. But that would be rediculous.....

But, have you seen the prices of some of those old stalking rifles from Parker-Hale or BSA!!! Some of them are under 200 quid!! .243 or .308? .243 should give a little more meat in the barrel and the choice of good target 6mm bullets is massive.....

I do not need another shooting obsession!!!! ****

Would my Winchester Stealth II qualify as this sounds like just the sort of thing I would like to get into. Not wishing to offend any F or F/TR shooters but it seams that any tiny development in the sport is going to cost you hundreds of ££££'s and that is without the expense of travelling etc to the chosen venues. Each to their own, but there are hundreds of good shooters out there that simply cant afford to shoot with the elite.
Good idea Dave-I hope it comes to fruition.
