Last time I was over in the pickering area I noticed this at the side of the road
there are two but the other is harder to spot from a moving bike, at the time I
thought it was a bomb without the fins but it seems not, though no one seems
to know how or why they got there.

As an aside, the pilot who flew the Memphis Bell during the filming was Alan Walker,who was the taxi pilot when I had my taxi ride in NX611 Just Jane last year.

The 15" shells look like HE shells for a 15" Howitzer, rather than naval shells.

Could be right I don't know enough about them, seeing one got my attention and then what I could find
on line biggest shell I've ever seen thats for sure.
