Ask the shipper not to send it freight. That is a world of costs.

Get it sent parcel post and then the Royal Mail/Parcel Force (or Fedex, DHL etc) will sort all that out for a much smaller fee.

I had 7 rifles sent from the US by parcel and only paid the Parcel Force admin fee along with the VAT and Duty (less than £350), had one rifle sent freight - it cost almost £1000 and much hassle on the phone trying to sort it out (I was expecting it parcel so hadn't arranged clearance).

I'd certainly be interested in one.

How would it work with your ticket? Would the conversion kit require a .22 slot?

Every FLD has their own variation (no pun intended!) When I had one for an AR it was down as a .22lr action/converter. When I came to sell it the guy who bought its authority insisted it being listed as a .22 rifle. And that was just a replacement bolt assemble with an attached chamber converter (in pic with magazine). This has a barrel as well as the action 5mith

Most of these kits I've seen listed on FACs are down as ".22lr Calibre Conversion Units" (or Kits).
