When they turned up they were just a normal set of calipers so a waste of money.

The kit:
You are actually paying the money for the drawings. The bar stock etc that comes with the Kit is not expensive on its own. My local supplier has shelves full of it.
I am super busy with other stuff at the moment but I will get back to it.

I spent a couple of hours looking at this project kit. Turned down some stuff. Then stopped this kit is aimed at making a floating reamer in probably M1 or M2 or M3 none of these would be any good for a barrel chamber reamer.
So I have chucked it in a draw.
I have been looking at gunsmithing floating chamber reamers online I now understand the difference. I have nothing on at the moment bored out of my skull working two half days a week and the rest of the week at home so I could probably I guess have a go at making one not that it will ever get used but what the heck. It helps to keep from going gagga.

I am getting busy work-wise things are ramping up and I have too many projects hobby and stuff going on.
I just bought the Dave Manson Precision floating reamer holder and a suitable sized arbor for my lathe. Job done. Why reinvent the wheel.
I can always go back to the kit when things are slack.

I have one as well although I seldom if ever use it. I built my own ages ago and prefer it to the DM one.
