Mark,
Your Steyr is so tempting - reminds me of when I used to carry one for a living!

Even though I have 3x30rd magazines and a spare 22cf slot - I must be strong. :run:

Mark,
So the question is - Who has the greater willpower in the face of temptation? :-P

I actually have 4x30rd magazines (I was going to keep one for myself) but if I said 4 for the price of 3 - how tempted are you now?

I had a chance to shoot a second rifle at the time, it turned out to be the C8SFW (Special Forces Weapon) with the later 4X Optical on it, I turned it down in favour of the C7A1 much to the surprise of the people I was shooting with. I did not make that mistake the next time they offered.

I got on fairly well at 600m with the C7A1 however there is definitely an art to shooting such things. One of the officers told us that they start at 100m, get on target and move back to 200m and repeat all the way back to 600m. You certainly need to be aware of your style when shooting at longer distances with such things.

The AI is an old friend of mine, well used and abused and still does good every time it comes out with me. :good:

Doesn't look like this anymore, scope has gone back to MTC (review in TS soon) and I have a nice laminated WOODEN stock on it now which is much more comfortable. Pics to follow in the appropriate thread soon :D
