What sort of sights would it have? What would be the sight radius?

A coathanger design is not optimum, in my view -- the approach taken when alternate rods are fitted to Taurus LBRs, or the style of bar found on the GP K22 LBP, might be better -- balance is vital with these -- most long-barrel designs are way too muzzle-heavy for accurate one-handed shooting.

I'd also suggest that making it slightly longer than 600mm might be wise (say an extra 5 or 10mm).

I'm not too keen on the suppressor bit -- added weight at the front, and likely to get up the nose of my FEO...but if everyone else wants it...

David.

I'm wondering just how they do firearm inspections up there in Scotland...

I know a few people who'd jump at the chance of a "Non-Coat Hanger Sticking Out" Competitor style pistol like Badgers in a variety of calibres.

Where did David say that was the design? Not sure he did dude :D

As I said a 300mm barrel length seems to suggest it, you still need 300mm of something behind the barrel so unless you're chambering a 50cal or similar I think it means a "sticky out thing" on the end of the grip.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong as it's the one thing that spoils things for me, I had a Buckmark conversion and have shot Alpha and Taurus pistols with coat hangers and rods fitted and they just do not feel right for me or a lot of the other other shooters I've talked to who were used to shooting "real" pistols before they were taken off us.

Oh right, I thought you meant the more specific design of a single rod hanging off the back instead of a pair or other arrangement.
I may have picked that up from Mr Rees though, sorry, I'll go back to trying to sleep through noisy Japanese people :D

That sounds like fun!, I'm off to bed as well, if I can persuade my next door neighbour to stop texting me about how good Troy is (I assume it's some magician on TV). troutslapping

I own a single shot .22LR pistol, Section 1, and the rods which bring it to 600mm are over the wrist, not under--a design which works well. Might be worth considering.

David.

600mm with over the wrist is the only way forward in my opinion and is the way I have designed it. I am also working on an extension piece that would convert it to a carbine length with a butt plate/pad.

You bad, bad man! :cool2:

Give it a switch barrel option and I'm in deep trouble. sign01
