Gun owners speak up

It pays to speak up...............

'There are more accidents playing golf than shooting'

AFTER the Advertiser revealed more than 1,300 people keep guns in their homes legally in the borough, scores of gun enthusiasts contacted us to defend law-abiding shooters.

A nice article in deed,

I seem to remember reading, perhaps as far back as School, that more people were killed on the Athletics field each year than by Firearms. Apparently Javelin and the other hammer throwing type disciplines were particularly dangerous - at that time.

Football posts falling on players was also a point of concern at one time,
But I do not remember anyone crying out for those sports to be banned, although Ester Rantzen may have campaigned for better made goals,

DM
Without order and without a goal, six million people unarmed and unprovisioned, driving headlong. It was the beginning of the rout of civilisation, of the massacre of mankind.
Forever Autumn, War of the Worlds.
