Fair point on the percsuusion cap to ignite black.
But,what about the rolls of caps in cap guns.
Is that black or some more sensitive concoction?

The stuff in toy caps is called Armstrong's mixture, it's very sensitive and only used in really small quantities. It's essentially the same compound that's used in standard primers.

Black powder and paper caps make interesting pellet targets.
