Pistols: would you give up home storage to get them back?

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

Better to have the points of view aired and challenged than for it to go unchallenged.

Nobody will be banned for their opinion so long as it is put civilly.

There is far to much banning in this world and in most cases it only hurts those that have nothing to do with the cause of the ban.

This is clearly a pro shooting forum, look at our header.

We do get the odd anti and appeaser like nfrancis but they end up moving on when their message fails in the debates.

Troll. You say you have been there done that and got the t-shirt so answer me this, back then why did you own and shoot pistols? I take it you did own them that is.

I assume that question is aimed at me. Yes I owned several handguns and shot competitively. Why because I could but now I can not because they are illegal. The petition seems to have stalled. That's a shame but I am not surprised.

There you go, that answers your statement of "I don't understand why any body would have a desperate need to own a hand gun in any calibre any way."

It has nothing to do with need and everything to do with can and the fact that people who have never broken the law can't is just plain wrong. You had pistols before the ban, did you need them? I'd guess no you didn't but you had them anyway, so need doesn't even enter into it.
The petition seems to have stalled. That's a shame but I am not surprised.
Yeah I'll just bet you're gutted.

You had handguns and shot them competitively, but don't understand why anyone would want a handgun. kukkuk

Yeah well you would think that as you've had your time with pistols so you're okay Jack. While pistols remain banned this debate will never have been done to death.
