Practice

Yesterday I did some practice for Strathpeffer's S-Class competition at the end of June. I was hoping to go back from 200-600m, unfortunately I only managed 200 and 300m before having to head off.

I was shooting 5+2 and at both distances I managed 18 out of a possible 25 on our actual S-Class target - not brilliant but not too bad either, especially as I don't take it too seriously.

I have the distinct feeling that I might not finish last this year! fingerscrossed

I was also thinking of maybe shooting it over 200-600m on the day - could be interesting...

Should have stayed longer, we went back to the 500 yard point and threw a few rounds down-range from there. Stuck my scope on & I managed to consistently hit the spotting disc in the Fig 11's head. Got really boring eventually. Seems like my load development is at an end now. 175 gn Berger, Lapua case, Federal 210 primer and a handful of Varget. job done.

Yeah, I know - should've, would've, could've! :bad:

But won't your M14 be too heavy for S-Class...? fingerscrossed

probably unless I take of the bipod & scope.

I've an old .30-06 in the cupboard I could drag out, I suppose.
