Triggers...

#1 Post by TobyH »

OK this may open a large can of worms, but I just need to know!!

Hopefully in the not too distant future my Howa will finally arrive. I have a number of modifications in mind and one of them is to fit an aftermarket trigger. Whether I need to or not remains to be seen, but if I do decide to get one, what are my options? I would rather pay once and get a good one than pay less and regret it....

Hi Toby,

Can't fault the trigger on my Howa, plenty of adjustment if you need it, breaks nice n clean to.

Trigger on my Howa is adjustable so you shouldn't need to buy one for your rifle.

Well, looks like I may be able to save some pennies after all! Have heard elsewhere much the same results.

So what else can I get

Got a bipod yet?

Anti-cant devices are very handy at loner ranges.

Yep got a bipod, harris.

Got a stock on the way (hopefully) bell & carlson, Found someone to do me a 25MOA rail and a moderator. So not much else to get really. Will see how the stock is as standard, but if it needs changing then I might make an adjustable cheek piece and butt for it.

Don't think Jewell make one for a Howa.

I think you should go with the Timney.

See this link for info.

Sounds like you are well on the way with the rail and moderator, have you got your reloading gear sorted out?

It's on its way over as we speak !

Only need to get a case trimmer really and maybe a neck cleaning brush, the rest I think will do.
