Just a quick question, both my bottles of C2r have turned orange and the bottles are going concave in shape, are they still usable? (both stored out of sunlight).

C2R can take on a light yellow tint with continued exposure to sunlight however this does not affect its performance. It should not turn orange, would you mind emailing me a picture please.

The bottles if clear are manufactured from HDPE so absolutely fine for about as long as you would ever need.

Depends if it has a solvent in it.

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is the most widely used resin for plastic bottles. This material is economical, impact resistant, and provides a good moisture barrier. HDPE is compatible with a wide range of products including acids and caustics but is not compatible with solvents.

Did you use the jags etc you used with another type of cleaning solvent before applying C2R if you introduced a solvent to it it could cause yellowing.

Thank you for confirming that Alpha1, C2R certainly does not have any petroleum derived solvents or similar in it as it works in a completely different way.

We had a similar problem with one of out experimental products we cast sheets of Methyl Methacrylate similar to panes of glass then sent it for analysis and artificially weathered it. So in six months the weathering was equivalent to six years. What we found was the polymer yellowed. We spent lots of money curing the problem. You only have to dip a brass jag into the bottle that has been used with a solvent cleaner and over time the C2R bottle could yellow.
