I don't know if that's the right term for them. They don't have the No.4 style of sights where you get to pick between a big ring or a more accurate long range sight. I expect Dromia could tell us.

The sights are pretty damned accurate though, certainly better than the No4 or the K98 standard sights, which are the contemporary rifles I've shot and can compare against. Given favourable weather even I can get all my rounds on the target somewhere at 1000 yds with them.

The challenge will come with using them quickly enough I think. That's probably one of the reasons why you never here anyone claiming that the Schmidt-Rubin was the best battle rifle ever made.

Well given the straight pull action, ease of loading and decent sights it could be a bit of a winner for you :good:

Lets hope you look after it better than 20series chronograph
Bets on the number of shots it takes you to blow it to bits?
It was very well looked after! However one can argue that build quality was not the best when it failed after only one shot.

How does 4th of August sound then? It is a Thursday.

Or 9th of August, it is a Tuesday.

If you get back to me then I shall book it.

I can do AM on the 04th, although I will be a bit woolly headed having just come from a night shift.
