Have you tried turning Snake Wood yet? I love the stuff however it is hard, very hard and I even turned a 4" nail out of a piece once however I did not have the heart to hammer it into a piece of wood to test it.

Not yet but I have done a lot of wood turning. One piece I worked on the turnings were smouldering I blew on them and they burst into flames. I had a small fire on the lathe bed that was interesting.
I did this one for my Son. Its antique brass.

I would love to have a go at that.
Pen turning has taken over my life. I can not keep up with demand. I have spent a fortune on tooling and upgrading lathes.
I have also tooled up for machining front sight adjusters for Nagants. No4s. smle. P14. Swedish mausers. etc etc.

I have prototypes for all the Mosin - Nagant front sight adjusters. I have already sold one to a fellow shooter for the M44 and he is well pleased with it.
(Just to make it clear I am not offering anything for sale in this post and I will not be posting anything for sale on this forum.)
