you basing that on anything (other than a couple of photos) ? as far as I can see they are not set up for charger loading, and weren't the AIA 7.62x39 ? or did they make a 7.62x51 option ? are these a licenced vershion of the indian made No4s? or just a rip-off generally ?

These rifles etc are produced at the Israeli IWI built, Vietnamese MoD owned factory Z111 located inlocated in Thanh Hoa.For decades the Vietnamese didn't produce domestically made AK's etc but were very adept at refurbishing Soviet and Chinese supplied rifles.

As well as a joint venture with IWI to produce the Galil Ace etc it is also reported that the Russian OSV-96 Russian heavy semi-automatic sniper rifle chambered in 12.7×108mm is also being produced there under license from the Russian KBP Instrument Design Bureau.

Has anybody every actually handled or shot one of the Vietnam made rifles?

Yes I have shot them and they were average at best. I have a feeling Alpha 1 on here has one.

I have the x 39 rifle.
I will be shooting it on Ash etr on Saturday @ 100/200/300 Fig 11 and 12.
It will be more than adequate for this!
