Quick question about length

Hi everyone
I just bought a cheap “tactical” shotgun, and I am wondering if I can put a folding stock on it.
Can anyone advise on whether this is legal for the UK? I think tha barrel has to be over 24”, but is there an overall length restriction as well!

Can S1 pistols be smooth bore, or do they have to be rifled?

Smoothbore. There’s a plethora of them in either flintlock or percussion. Shot pistols for humane dispatch still have to comply with 12/24.

It's a pump action so therefore must comply with 24/40 rule.

You can also own a rifled revolver with any length of barrel if it is a muzzle loader (Cap and ball) I have several examples here.

Again I find myself asking about rules out of "academic interest" - I'm a very analytical person.
Does "muzzle loading" mean just the projectile, or does it have to be the charge as well?
