Shorts range, Bisley.

Who remembers shooting on the 200 yard shorts range at Bisley before it was demolished to build the clay shooting complex? I used to enjoy shooting on that range when I first started to go to Bisley in the late 1980s. Situated between the zero range and the food hut it was very convenient. A pity it got demolished.

I remember it fondly. A little bit of the butts remain, and there's been the odd rumour of that bit being re-instated (how practical that would be, I don't know). A shame the old Shorts had to go - it might go a long way to alleviating the current range congestion.

Our club regularly shot there. We had to cease shooting one day when a woman and her bloke literally wandered across the range - F*** knows what they were thinking or how they had come to be there.

Remember it well. And the AD pistol demos on there. Jerry Miculek etc.
