A new logo for a new name

#1 Post by Ovenpaa »

We are the Shooting Shed, always have been and people know us around the world. Unfortunately the majority of our walk in customers only know us as the Gunsmith at Binbrook, or the Binbrook Gunsmiths or David in Binbrook. So we have decided on a new local image in keeping with what we do for the local shooting community.

First thing we did was create a simple web site, next thing is a logo and right now I am undecided on which way to go, the Viking however has made her mind up.

These are the two logos and I would like to know what people think, logo one, the one with the Pheasant, logo two with the church in the valley or neither. They are low resolution as they are screen grabs from .Pdf files, the proper ones are nicer.

I really would appreciate peoples thoughts and comments as it is a big step.

I prefer the second, as the first feels like it is somewhere aimed mostly for game shooting and might put off target oriented people

I prefer the layout and font of the first one, but agree with the post above that the image of the first one may put off target shooters.

The whole point of a logo is to grab peoples attention. The colour layout on the second one does this: the first one does not.

The second one does it for me. I agree about the game shooting thing for the first one.

I prefer the font and layout of the first, however agree the pheasant gives an 'impression'.

I'd have the font and layout of the first, with the logo of the second.

No need too stand out too much on a business card. Your reputation speaks louder than any combination of colour.
