A few pics of my Schmidt-Rubin K31 rifle. This one was made in 1943 and refurbed in 1957. It is very accurate. It has the tag under the but plate. It was issued to a cook in a cycle regiment. It has a neat wood repair on the left side I presume from the refurb.

I can attest to this (well not the sub zero part) but having handled a friends accuracy international with an upgraded trigger whilst wearing winter gloves resulting in a ND-never have that issue with my K31.

That is a good looking K31, I have a few Schmidt Rubin rifles, just not a K31 (Yet)

I’m not a lover of mil-surp rifles, but the K31 is one that I’ve always fancied. Well that and the No5. The rest tend to leave me, ....meh. I have a Jungle Carbine in the cabinet, so perhaps one day I’ll add a K31.

Yours is a very nice example.

Fair point, well made.

Very nice - thanks for sharing. I have a 1954 made K31, also with a troop tag. I've recently installed a left hand operating rod to make it easier for me to cycle the bolt. May well do a little post about it soon.
