Isn't that what the command "Fix bayonets" is for :good:

I think that's a great idea! Am I right in believing that it's a mixture of targets at known and unknown distance? Would mean something for everyone.

Yes, the firing point is a nice heated cabin atop a hill looking out over a long valley with targets from 100 mards all the way out to far, far away. Most people concentrate on the 1,000 mard, 1km, 1 mile and 2,000m targets. Nice eclectic mix of mensuration there for you. There are firing points with interchangeable benches or prone positions, plus adjacent windows for observers to scope for you too. Marc and the other ROs are nice oomans too. After a good day on the range you can pop back to the Eskdale 'otel for dinner afore trundling off 'ome.

There's a cheap Travelodge at Carlisle Todhills, or we can highly recommend the Eskdale 'otel if you prefers fine food, good ales and excellent service at a fair price. https://www.eskdalehotel.co.uk

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
