I assume the result will be all public spaces requiring vaccination in order to enter, they are talking about people being issued a scannable code as proof, and I'm all for that.
Seriously kukkuk kukkuk kukkuk kukkuk

Why do you admire the PRC so much and place so little value on your freedom and privacy - do you REALLY think it will stop there? So if it applies to (say) supermarkets you'dl be OK with that?

It seems you are all for discrimination - have a ook in your history books! Why not have them wear a badge, ring a bell - or just shove them into camps? Why not make flu jabs mandatory and force them to carry a wee scannable code i.e a vaccine passport by any other name, too.

These "passes" are a VILE idea and should be resisted by any right thinking person!

If you are all for it, will you accept liability when someone has a serious adverse reaction? Thought not!

ANYONE demanding people get jabbed or else should be legally liable when something goes wrong - after all, it's then part of a contract!

If anti-vaccers had "AV" permanently marked on their foreheads (a bit like Rimmer in Red Dwarf) then they, and the rest of us can all make fully informed decisions and exerise our freedom of choise, as we go about our daily lives when lockdown ends

No doubt the anti-discriminators would then move in..............the virus has no legs and can't fly, so the best bet is to simply keep clear of people, and be hyper-careful if you have to go where they are or have been.
Let's hope it doesn't eventually start hitching a ride on mozzies or fleas......

Up here we are currently trying to train the midgies to recognise those who have been vaccinated and only to feed off the ones who haven't. Testing amongst the general public will take place as soon as the travel restrictions are lifted and the toorists start coming back to the Highlands. :D

I'm waiting for a kidney transplant which, because of covid, isn't likely any time soon. The immunosuppressants mean that my response to the vaccine is likely to be reduced but it's still the best protection. Specialists are all suggesting you should have both jabs before going on the immunosuppressants to get maximum protection. Some people have been told around the country that they won't go back on the transplant list if they aren't vaccinated. This isn't unprecedented - in order to have in-centre dialysis you have to have hepatitis B vaccination to reduce the risk of possible cross infection.

The other factor is the possibility that immunosuppressed people are the source of the new variants. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/heal ... 87388.html

Vaccination would probably reduce this effect.

If the NHS hadn't been cut to the bone and we spent as much on our healthcare system as, say, the French and Germans we would have had spare capacity to keep some hospitals free of covid and continue with the general care.

Our eldest daughter, 17, is on immunosuppressants to control her asthma, so is CEV, and was jabbed last Saturday. She was moderately ill and unwilling to leave her bed, eat or drink much, for three days. She was not told to lay off the immunosuppressants, but I told her to do so as soon as we had the appointment for her.
Careful now/that sort of thing
