Dear Santa,

#1 Post by Mike357 »

As I have been a good boy this year, please can I have the following for Christmas -

To further trick up my RM 10/22 and to finish it off after the new Boyd;s Blaster stock goes on, can I have one of these to aid mag release and bolt hold open

To help cocking coz I have fingers like sausages, can I have one of these too

Santa, you know I have been drawn to the dark side so to fulfill my desire, please place one of these in my pillow case, you'll find them in Harrogate!

No point having a black gun if you cant have a dedicated mouse slaying upper so chuck one of these in too

And finally, to vent off steam, you'll have noticed that Rude Fat Dog are also making an upper that shoots .410 shotgun cartridges and is magazine fed, if I leave out extra cookies can I have one please.

That is all.

Hope Santa obliges!

Mike or anyone - how does the LA-R15 compare to the SIG 522 ?

The SIG is one of the better .22 AR style rifles. S&W is up there too. The Raven along with the V22 and the Spikes kit is a little better and accordingly cost more.

What attracts me about the Raven is that it has Match chambered barrel so it should be very accurate. They are almost ready so nobody has tested one yet but I do have an offer to go down to Harrogate to see it when the barrels arrive.

The SIG will gobble up anything you feed it. Very reliable.

Chuck and I looked into this extensively. If the 410 is based around the AR platform ammunition will be a big factor regarding feed and reliability. The 2.5 inch (63.5mm) ammunition I looked at varied from 60mm to 65mm in length and you can virtually forget about slug ammo for the 410 - I ended up reloading slug for my 410.

But if it works - go for it! :good:
