Hang n Hook target / gong 'system'

#1 Post by walesdave »

Tried out my new target and gong hanger today, can't praise it enough!
Got the brackets and hooks from Amazon and ordered the legs and crossbar online from 'The Metal Store'.
Total cost: excluding targets was about £80ish.
Brackets:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... AGS9aN2hK8
Legs and Crossbar
https://www.themetalstore.co.uk/product ... -a-26-9-mm

You can get the legs and crossbar to whatever size suits your shooting. I had 1.25m legs and 1.75m crossbar - worked well off a bench at 100m. UK and US differences in measurements meant I had to spend about two hours with a metal file opening up the pipework a bit to get the brackets to fit into the legs easily.

Target hanger can be seen in the distance, afraid I forgot to get a closeup!

That gong looks surprisingly like a shooting table.

That look like a fairly sturdy set up.

Mine uses a couple of "safety fence pickets" hammered into the ground and the gong suspended by chain from a 38mm upvc waste pipe.

My club crosses the border to use that range a couple of times a year.

Nope - I got a 3m length of that exact one from Screwfix; luckily I took a bracket along when I went to pick it up, inside diameter was way too small.

And for those who mistook the table for the target hanger....I think you missed this in the original post "Target hanger can be seen in the distance, afraid I forgot to get a closeup!"

I use an old carpet sweeper metal handle with electric fence poles ,which has lasted for about a year now on 357 rounds, not sure of the plastic upvc pipe stand version of the same type that I saw on saturday there.
