Hello
Just seen this on Gunstar looks unusual "Never seen one before" Can anyone elaborate.
Its advertised as a Mosin Nagant 1907 Carbine I would have it if it was not for the £5K price tag.
There are more pictures on the site if you want to investigate.

If its in 7.62x54 they are quite common and not worth 5K are you sure its not £500.

A genuine 1907 Carbine is one of the rarest Mosin variants going teanews

If you look at the Gunstar ad again you'll see it is actually a "wanted" ad.....the rifle isn't for sale

Looks from the pic to be an M38 with a post-war refurb laminate stock, the extra reinforcing bolt on the wrist of the stock is a giveaway that it is a laminate stock.Another post-war sign is the pressed in sling slot escutcheons front and rear.

The rarest Mosin carbine was the Gendarmerie Carbine produced in 1896 at the Sestroryetsk Arsenal and "invented" by a Colonel Jurlov and only 11 were ever produced and there is, I believe, only one surviving example in the Tula Arsenal museum....along with the first M91 Mosin produced at Sestroryetsk, serial #1.
