8x58R Danish No4

Another unusual treasure from the Bullet Cache, a Lee Enfield in 8x58R Danish.
When I first saw this I thought it might be a 8x50R that BSA made for the Indian market but the Manton catalog is pre-ww2 and the line drawing is SMLE. this is a No4.
After a lot of digging an old thread came up on USA nitro express forum. To paraphrase the Whitworth rifle company based in Manchester made a batch of these in the 1960-70's for the Greenland market but it wasn't a commercial success.
the nitro thread is below but it drifts off topic a bit.
