No4 NGS mount.

#1 Post by RJ156 »

Anybody tried this mount off eBay

Steel so can’t be that bad, or can it?

Yep. Have used that mount for a few years on my No4.

Absolutely fine and noticed no movement at all. I’m sure there are better mounts and it wasn’t the easiest to fit but all good.

Done a buy.

Got a weaver k3-60 to go on with it

Can anyone recommend mounts? Preferably in complimentary style and colour.

I’m aware these are a bit cheap but how bad can they be?

The mount works.
As for the rings you get what you pay for depends how serious you are on getting your scoped Lee Enfield to perform to its full potential. I personally would not buy them. How the rifle performs also depends on the Scope you intend to mount.
A decent scope can cost as much as you paid for the rifle.
The vintage weaver will look nice but will it perform.

Unclear, not overly serious,

Making it look right was more important haha

Good to hear.

I’m gonna wait until I find some decent mounts for now

Anyone fitted this mount and found the clamping part that goes under the charger bridge sits funny? The angle on it doesn’t seem to match that machined into the clamp piece so is making the screw angled slightly. Am I overthinking it? It’s proper secure like. Just doesn’t quite sit itself how I thought it would.

Though the mount is that flat and level to bore at least

Also, loctite on all 3 screws?
