Guns seized....again

#1 Post by walesdave »

Anyone see oesophageal cancer on the list below?

Relevant medical conditions which must be disclosed are:
• Acute Stress Reaction or an acute reaction to the stress caused by a trauma, including posttraumatic stress disorder
• Suicidal thoughts or self harm or harm to others
• Depression or anxiety
• Dementia
• Mania, bipolar disorder or a psychotic illness
• A personality disorder
• A neurological condition: for example, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s or Huntington’s diseases, or epilepsy
• Alcohol or drug abuse
• Any other mental or physical condition, or combination of conditions, which you think may be relevant.

Nope, neither do I. Doesn't matter to Gwent Police who treat "Any other mental or physical condition, or combination of conditions, which you think may be relevant." as carte blanche to state 'voluntarily surrender your guns or I'll just get a warrant'.

Oh well, give me something to do in between chemo sessions and trying to keep my self-employment going....yet another fight with Gwent Police to get my guns back. (FYI: I had to 'voluntarily' lodge my guns with an RFD 3 years or so ago due to a family member (not me) having a Mental Health episode that required police involvement.)

Disgusting behaviour by Gwent Police - last thing you need is additional stress in your life at this point.

I wish you all the best with your treatment and hopefully full recovery

If only the BASC had kept their legal insurance cover , you might have had a good chance at retaining your property .

Pulling the cover has given plod the green light to do what ever it wants to shooters with just about no fear of legal action .

Hope your treatment is positive .

These days licensing is run on an any excuse principle - any excuse to make life difficult.

I hope your treatment is a success.
