Bisley shooting club, the NRA, is not typical of UK shooting.

It is only interested in making money and only want probationers signed off so they will hire ranges and buy ammunition.

Years ago when I used to run clubs I based our probationers course on the NRA course because of the issuing of the SSC and it seemed to be the only "accredited" course around.

To make it work for 100+ member mixed shooting club with its own indoor range and fullbore military range shooting I had to practically re-write the whole thing and 'twould have been easier just to start from scratch, It might work well enough to get people shooting at Bisley and paying range fees but as tool for developing rounded responsible shooters and gun owners it left much to be desired.

Bisley is a fantastic facility and a great place to go shooting but the NRA is a morally incontinent organisation as it does sweet FA to promote shooting nationally and develop shooters beyond Bisley, which is its duty as a self claimed "national" organisation. Your obvious knowledge deficit, which isn't your fault, after being "trained" shows that their training isn't up to snuff either.

Hopefully joining a reputable club will help you understand firearms and firearms law.
